One of the thirteen - “Jumpin' Jiminy”

Halifax Mk. VII, serial PN236, was from a batch of 45 aircraft built after 3 February 1945. The Halifax was first delivered to No. 432 [Leaside] squadron on 28 February 1945, however it did not carry out any operations. On 7 March 1945, PN236 was transferred to No. 415 [Swordfish] squadron and completed 17 operations. In total, 11 operations were flown by F/O F.R. Millbank and his crew.

On 18 May 1945 the aircraft was ready for disposal and arrived at Handley Page, 28 May 45, struck off charge by RAF on 31 May 1945.

Two photos were taken by F/L Lindsay, [roll #4, prints #1 & 2] then it was selected for removal and shipment to Canada.
